We were honoured to welcome Lee Rowley MP on site at our development Fairstone Apartments in Ealing for a visit in conjunction with The Federation of Master Builders (FMB). FMB is the largest trade body in the UK construction sector, and the recognised voice of small, local builders. The FMB has a proud history of supporting and promoting micro and SME building companies and chose to host the visit at our site on Inglis Road. The site which comprises 21 new one, two and three bed flats is an excellent example of high-quality building by a local SME company that is growing and diversifying its business. The visit was an opportunity for Lee Rowley MP to see and learn more about the work of SME construction; to hear about training and apprenticeship provision by the sector and to discuss some of the challenges and opportunities faced by local builders.
Rowley is the Conservative MP for North East Derbyshire, and was first elected in 2017. He became a Minister in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in September 2021, having previously been a Government Whip, a Parliamentary Private Secretary, Deputy Chair of the Conservative Party, and member of the Public Accounts Committee. He has ministerial responsibility for construction, skills, levelling-up, net zero and the supply chain, with the Department so was well placed for the team to liese with on such issues.
It was a great day for all involved at Fairstone Apartments, with special thanks given to Kisiel Group for helping to organise!
