Forty3 Birch Grove

Birch Grove, Ealing, London
  • Description

We acquired Birch Grove in 2015, an old victorian property that sat within two conversation area. The house was derelict and had been uninhabited for 2 years. We completed a completed a strip out of the interior of the property, taking it back to the bare brick and structural elements.

We obtained planning permission for 5 flats in 2016 and commenced construction in December 2016. We retained many of the period  features of the conservation but gave the interiors a bright and contemporary feel. By using period architraves and bespoke timber sash windows we were aiming to harmonise the old with the new.

We made sure that the conversion project had our standard 10 year new build warranty to give our new owners piece of mind. The project was completed in December 2017.

Forty3 Birch Grove dates back to pre 1900 and is located within Ealing’s sought after Creffield conservation area. The converted property sits on a tree lined quiet residential street. Due to the residential nature of Birch Grove, each unit benefits from a choice of a parking space, either on or off street, further details upon request

Each apartment provides character and period features whilst also being able to accommodate for modern day living, through the introduction of contemporary kitchen and bathroom appliances. Bespoke timber sash windows combined with smart heating controls enable modern living in a period setting. The apartments have been finished with discrete strip lighting providing an alternative lighting mode that complements the features.
